Port Hardy is the northernmost city on Vancouver Island. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities such as wildlife viewing, whale watching, diving, kayaking and hiking, as well as shopping and exploring local arts and cultural attractions. However, Port Hardy's main appeal may be as a jumping-off point for fishing adventures further north along the BC mainland coast in places like Bella Bella, Hakai Pass, Klemtu, Ocean Falls and Rivers Inlet — all of which are served from Port Hardy Airport by Pacific Coastal Airlines. Flights to Port Hardy can be booked from Kenmore Air Harbor in North Seattle or from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport with a nominally priced shuttle connection. Because these flights are subject to a two-passenger minimum, they cannot be booked online; please call 866.435.9524. The 2010 summer service season begins June 1. 2010 summer schedule & fares Charter service to Port Hardy is available year-round — including seaplanes to the harbor and wheeled aircraft to Port Hardy Airport.
