Discovery Islands

Also known as the Northern Gulf Island, the Discovery Islands are a spectacular archipelago of nine major and numerous minor islands located between Campbell River on central Vancouver Island and the British Columbia mainland. The breathtaking fjords of Toba Inlet and Bute Inlet, which cleave some 50 miles into the Coast Range mountains, are also part of this spectacular region of ocean, rock and forest. The temperate climate, spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife, quiet rural lifestyle, endless recreational opportunities and variety of world-class lodges and resorts combine to make the Discovery Islands a highly desirable vacation destination.

Area destinations for scheduled Kenmore Air seaplane flights include:

April Point
Big Bay
Blind Channel
Cordero Lodge
Dent Island Lodge
Hollyhock
Mansons Landing
Morgan's Landing
Nanook Lodge
Rendezvous Lodge
Sonora Resort

Flights to the Discovery Islands can be booked from Kenmore Air Harbor in North Seattle or from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport with a nominally priced shuttle connection. The 2010 summer service season begins May 21.*

2010 summer schedule & fares

*Summer 2010 service to Blind Channel and Cordero Lodge is on a separate schedule from the other Discovery Islands destinations and begins June 1. For Blind Channel and Cordero Lodge schedule and fares, click here.
