Friday Harbor

Celebrating its centennial in 2009, historic Friday Harbor is the county seat of San Juan County and the commercial and cultural hub of San Juan Island. Within its walkable one-square-mile city center, vistors will find a vibrant working and recreational harbor, a plethora of unique shopping opportunities, museums and parks, and an astonishing variety of fine and casual dining options. Friday Harbor also boasts a number of fine hotels, inns and B&Bs to accommodate any taste or budget, as well as rental cars and scooters and, seasonally, the services of San Juan Transit

What Friday Harbor does not offer is stop lights, billboards or look-alike big-box retail stores. But for an authentic, small-town atmosphere, rich with culture, and a surrounding landscape of pastoral countryside and marine views, Friday Harbor is a destination without peer.
