| Paint shop When it's time to give your floatplane a new look, our Paint Shop backs up
the use of the highest quality materials and techniques with 30 years of experience.
We strip the old paint and clean any corrosion. We're proud
of our environmentally friendly strip shop. The bare plane is then washed with an acid
etch material to further destroy any possible corrosion. An epoxy primer is applied over
an alodine coating prior to applying a top coat of polyurethane enamel paint. For extra
protection against corrosion, we suggest an optional polysulfide primer.
We normally use silver lacquer on floats, but paint is an option.
Unsure about a design? We have many brochures, color photos and an experienced staff to
suggest a scheme for your airplane. The best way to examine our work is to visit our
facility. We have painted several private planes stationed here as well as our own 20
airplane commercial fleet.
