Thanks to the influx of Amazonians, South Lake Union is staking its claim as a Happy Hour destination. After 3 p.m., you’ll find a plethora of generously-priced, mouthwatering food and drink specials just blocks from the water’s edge.

Whether you’re looking for a bite post-flight or you’re fueling up for a night on the town, these local watering holes are certain to satisfy.

Ba Bar

With two daily happy hour windows, an easygoing crowd, and rave-worthy Vietnamese flavors, Ba Bar’s a sure winner. You can never go wrong with a bowl of pho. Though on a summer day, a cool cucumber salad loaded with crispy shallots and lemon vinaigrette may be more pleasing.

Dukes Seafood

Located on the eastern side of South Lake Union, the substantial happy hour menu at Dukes Seafood makes it favorite. In addition to affordably priced pours shared plates range from prawns in sweet chili sauce and crab cakes to salmon sliders and Dukes’ award-winning chowder.

Jack's BBQ

Jack’s BBQ

For those who dream in slow smoked meat, Jack’s BBQ is just for you. Specializing in Central Texas barbecue—an approach where sauce takes a back seat to low and slow smoked high-quality meat—the South Lake Union spot was ranked the best BBQ join in Washington by Delish in 2019. Happy Hour favorites include an upgraded ‘Seattle Dog’ and nachos loaded with pulled brisket.

Revel

The elevated Korean street food at Revel has been drawing Seattle crowds since the restaurant opened in 2010. Temporarily located in South Lake Union, the popular destination will be moving back to their Fremont digs this spring. But no matter where they’re located, their happy hour menu is loaded with favorites, including the pork belly pancake infused with kimchi.

Re:public

An upscale 21-and-over establishment, Re:public’s happy hour menu features a long list of cocktail-worthy bites ranging from steamed bao buns loaded with pork belly to garlic and chili prawns.
